iPower

February 19th, 2008 by iblog

We do not want to give this movement any publicity so we are not going to offer any links. IPower is a group formed by Belgium “activists” who are probably bad, bored and irresponsible art or drama students. The used to make up a political party called NEE which famously stood for election promising 40,000 blow jobs given by their leading candidate. She is a self publicist and the whole thing was meant to be a satirical spoof on a ad from a mainstream party promising 400,000 jobs if elected.

The reason I am disgusted buy this group is the same young lady has her own web site “blogging” a countdown to ending her own life. It is not art and it is not funny. Suicide is not a subject for satire, irony or humor. There are far to many parents in South Wales who painfully know this first hand. Although the police a ruling out any cult activity or collective internet influence it is my view that any site that exposes young people to any kind of glamorization of ending ones own life is simply criminal and the isp carrying the site should be forced to take it down. Broadcasting standards in the UK have rightfully tight regulations about the depiction of suicide. The internet with its young user base should have the same protection for minors.

The people of IPower should be disgusted with themselves and the people of Belgium should censor their activity. They polled a near no show in the election but their you tube videos are getting far too many hits.

This is The Next Big Thing

February 18th, 2008 by iblog

Personal development is the next big thing. We are in a massive economic down turn. History tells us that fortunes are made in times like these. People lose their old cheese and have to find new cheese. It is not their choice they are forced to do it or they suffer.

We cant look to our banks for loans we cant look to our employers for pay rises. The only place left is ourselves and religion. These are the growth industries of the future. So Grow.

Power over People, Choice is corrupting.

February 14th, 2008 by iblog

Interesting that we probably narrow our view of the world as our choices widen. In the dark days there was just one TV channel, news paper or radio station. We listened watched and read, we agreed or we didn’t, we formed opinions, the life blood of democracy. Now we can chose to watch to any TV station, listen to any radio broadcast or read any paper. If we don’t like middle of the road soft rock (fleetwood mac for instance) We listen to a radio station that only plays radio head. That actually narrows our own ability to make informed decisions, people who have never really heard Fleetwood Mac slag them off because the band just aren’t hip. You know with music so what, but with political issues social comment it breed bigots and fools. Choice is the purveyor of stupidity beware.

Making Money from Blogging

January 26th, 2008 by iblog

Deas anyone make money from blogging? as I mentioned, we at the cult of blog simply try to break even. We are interested in any stories where people make a comfortable cash flow. It would be a hard business to plan. We notice that our earnings are often greatest on days when our hits are down? Some days we have huge hits and yet our earnings are almost zero. Does any one make any real money? Today we had a letter from someone who wants to advertise here, thats a good thing , isn’t it?

Is blogging actually just a scam? Was it a marketing ploy from ISP and hosting companies to encourage millions more people onto their servers and charging monthly subscriptions.

Delete Account Delete Account Delete Account

January 25th, 2008 by iblog

it is true once you join a cult you can never leave, apart from the cult of blog, you are free to leave any time you like. Facebook and my space won’t let go quite so easily though. a young student in nottingham, england, realized the shots of him vomiting over the Uni Bar were not going to look great to any prospective employer searching for him on the net. It took him 6 months to get My Space to delete his well documented life from their site. On the National New tonight My Space wondered why he simply didn’t set his account to private. Noe he definitely want get a job, initiative 0!

More Blog Porn

January 23rd, 2008 by iblog

our lives are being taken of by an insidious virus, there should be a blog called the cult of celebrity worship. There are more celebrity blogs than tech blogs in the bloggosphere and many of them are simply republishing each others material. We love a good gossip at the cult monastery don’t get me wrong but we are about raising the bar, trying to find the cool and uber cool sites worth reading. Those sites that offer individual viewpoints on the issues that interested us. From new hand bags to who’ll win the next election to the world economy or a really great video. The hounding of some celebrities, often with tragic consequences, needs to debate. We understand that the process is so often mutually beneficial but in extreme examples peoples lives are ruined, usually when they are at there most vulnerable.

Blog Porn

January 22nd, 2008 by iblog

we at the cult are very aware of Blog Porn, the technical gadget based male orientated blogging that populates the top blog lists everywhere. It is a shame that a medium so built for the spread of thought, emotion, feeling is dominated but the materialism of gadgets and fueling the weak minded to their addictions for blog porn, gadgets and technology.

We need more feeling, more expression in the blogs that count, tell us where they are and we’ll make sure they have a voice.

The Money Side

January 21st, 2008 by iblog

Can a blog make real money? the cult of blog has had a cash flow issue for sometime. We don’t ask our members to part with their own money to join us but we do have overheads. The our monastery is rather in need of some urgent repairs and this blogging comes with costs attached. So we are aiming to make the blog pay for its self.

Since placing adverts on the sight we have made a grand total of 0.00 dollars from them. We have decided to implement a plan and have set a target of $10 a week in 3 months. The cost of our expenses. We would then ramp up the plan to earn enough for the $320 for the repair work. We will document this plan hoping to inspire others to lead by our example.

We have also done extensive research on internet marketing guru’s we are going to report exactly what we find out here. The bloggosphere is a dangerous place, treat us as a refuge and be safe.

Scientology

January 17th, 2008 by iblog

You know we at the cult of blog do believe that you are free to live your life as you with provided it doest hurt anyone. We would stand up in any forum and advocate blog as a doctrine, freedom and openness. The worry is when there is secrecy. Why make a video extolling the merits of your beliefs and then have it taken off every website when it goes public. Was what was being said wrong? If you truly believe you have answers to the woes of today wouldn’t you be proud to share them? Was the editing so mis representative of the sense of the piece perhaps it was? So put up the original cut for us all to see how bad the mis representation was. Questions questions.

Tom Cruise - Scientology

January 17th, 2008 by iblog

Take a look at this and keep this thought in your mind
According to Hubbard, some past traumas may have been deliberately inflicted in the form of “implants” used by extraterrestrial dictatorships such as Helatrobus to brainwash and control the population. Hubbard’s lectures and writings include a wide variety of accounts of complex extraterrestrial civilizations and alien interventions in earthly events, collectively described by Hubbard as “space opera.” There is a huge Church of Spiritual Technology symbol carved into the ground at Scientology’s Trementina Base that is visible from the air.[76] Washington Post reporter Richard Leiby wrote, “Former Scientologists familiar with Hubbard’s teachings on reincarnation say the symbol marks a ‘return point’ so loyal staff members know where they can find the founder’s works when they travel here in the future from other places in the universe.

The Cult of Blog

July 26th, 2007 by iblog

Many of the blogs we consider to be blog are on this list. It is a list that has attracted some criticism. It may contravene google’s rules. Does it promote traffic over content, as we said many of the blogs have great content and writing. Do all the authors know that their blogs have been included? Do people simple promote what they are asked to promote without integrity? If there was a blog on this list that was racist or extreme would you check before publishing? Are some of the blogs simply advertising banners designed to make money. Because it is simply a list and not a snazzy looking “viral matrix” does it deserve the criticisms? Are My Blog Log and My Blog Catalog even technorati simply more examples of sites and systems that simply exist to advertise others work? The answer is yes to all the above, the question is when is it bad?

#Start copy here#

The idea is simple: You want readers and you want link backs too because thats all us bloggers want, its more precious than milk for some

So how does it work?

Simple! You just copy the list down below on your blog, hence creating link backs for your blogging friends and then click the RSS feed link to subscribe to all of them. Then you add yourself and up to 5 other bloggers and their feeds to the end of the list before you publish it on your own blog. Show your friends some link love :)

Just imagine if just 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra link backs and 100 extra feed subscribers!
